As the president of the Harker Medical Club in the 2019-20 school year, I organized multiple speaker events to showcase aspects of different medical fields to our members.

Dr. Benjamin Chung is a urologist and associate professor at Stanford. In September, he gave a talk on urologic oncology and robotic surgery.

Dr. Meghan Imrie is an orthopedic surgeon and associate professor at Stanford. In October, she gave a talk on pediatric orthopedics and some cases she sees.

Dr. Emily Kraus is a sports medicine physician and assistant professor at Stanford. In November, she gave a talk on how concussion rates have changed over time as well as on treating athletes.

Dr. Neha Joshi is a pediatrician and clinical instructor at Stanford. In December, she gave a talk on neonatology and attending high-risk deliveries where resuscitation is anticipated.

Dr. Stephanie Harman is a palliative care physician and associate professor at Stanford. In January, she gave a talk on caring for patients on their deathbed and the importance of quality of life.

Dr. Natalie Lui is a thoracic surgeon and assistant professor at Stanford. In February, she gave a talk on thoracic diseases and surgical techniques to treat those diseases.

Dr. Carolyn Seib is an endocrine surgeon and assistant professor at Stanford. In March, she gave a talk on surgeries she performs for endocrine abnormalities as well as the path toward becoming an endocrine surgeon.
